United States Open Championship The United States Open is the second Major of each Year. It is usually played during June. The US Open is run by the amateur body called the United States Golf Association. The U.S.G.A. also make the rules of golf in the USA and many other countries around the world. United States Open Championship As far as the golf courses that I have played in the US Open, one common denominator is that it is always played on the most demanding courses. With narrow fairways, rock hard greens and plenty of thick rough everywhere. When playing a US Open you know you will make bogies and sometimes double bogies. What you must not do is change your game plan and go for unrealistic shots and make more bogies. That's when your patience and confidence gets put to the test as well.
